| Yes,
a great challenge but not a big problem for our Doctor! He told a few bystanders
to get a wheelbarrow and they loaded him in; much so afraid his arms would
pullout as they lifted the unfortunate and stiff man akwardly into
the bucket. .... On went the little procession over to the Beach Hotel,
where there was a walk-in cooler, powered by the hotel's own electric generator.
What an ingenious idea! Now, please understand; it was in the middle
of a very hot day, every one was taking his siesta and none of the personal
was around to ask for permission. The Doctor and his helpers were eager
to get rid of the rather embarassing load. They opened the heavy door of
the walk-in cooler and put the body on the floor, off to one side to leave
room to walk in the middle. Glad to have this unpleasant task accomplished,
they all went back under the shade tree on the beach to indulge in a few
well earned Pacifico Caguamas*. For the time being, the incident was forgotten.
Forgotten until the evening when the hotel's kitchen became alive and
many hungry guests demanded to be feed. The cook had to fill several orders
for lobster. She went over to the cooler, pulled the stuck door open, turned
the light on and got the scare of her life. She wasn't sure her eyes been not
betraying her: A man, white as a candle in his face, was laying flat on
his back with lobsters crawling all over him! She let out a scream that
could be heard blocks away and she dashed out of the kitchen, followed by
the rest of the personnel. ... It is not known if the hungry guest ever
got their order of lobster. ...
*caguama=
something big, in this case a large,
0.7 ltr bottle of beer.
