Mechanic Work

There a few spots in town where you can have mechanic work done. Samy Diaz's Tire Shop can take care of your tire repairs, welding work, and other varied tasks. Samy is located on the South side of the street just after the curve where the road ends, and across from Mercado Xitlali.

Ruben Ocaña not only does outstanding auto body repair and paint jobs, he is an excellent mechanic as well.  To find his shop, follow the main street in town South, bear right at the curve, then make an immediate left after Samy's Tire Shop. Follow the road and soon you'll see a sign for Roberto Ocaña's Panga/Fishing Tours.  You'll notice a fork or Y in the road there too, take it North, to the right. Follow it down to where the white block wall is and hang a right before the wall. Drive back and around and you'll see Ruben's work area.

Alfredo Diaz has a repair shop which is located behind/South of Casa Diaz.  Casa Diaz is at the Southern end of town, and once there, drive around the rear on the water/sea side.  You'll see a sign for Samy's Sportfishing, and Alfredo's shop is adjacent to that area.

Medical Services

The town has a clinic located in the center of town, adjacent to the Delegacion/City building. Most of the time there is a physician here in Bahia, but not 24/7 365 days a year.  Inquire there if you have a medical problem, and they will do their best to assist you.  It is a good idea to carry a list of any medications you take on a regular basis, in case of some type of health emergency it would be of great help to those trying to assist you.
