Not far South of Ensenada is the town of Santo Tomas.  Located in a scenic valley, Santo Tomas is home to vineyards and a winery.  The "El Palomar" hotel, store, restaurant is a well-known landmark. Tthe temperatures in this low valley can drop near freezing at night during the winter months, so be prepared.
