San Quintin
is a popular destination for Sportfishing on the Pacific
coast. It is located in an ever expanding agricultural
area. You may notice tractors and other farm equimpment
on the roads as you travel through this area. School
buses transporting field workers are another common
site, especially during the early morning
hours and late afternoon. At KM 16, a bit South of San Quintin is
a great place to enjoy a homestyle meal; "Taqueria
Parcela 12". Proprietors Enrique Leon Morales &
Maura Gonzalez Gomez put much care and attention in
preparing their simple, honest food. very, very
good eating in my opinion. The tortillas are made
fresh, and a small plate of local ranch cheese is served
with your meal. Do yourself a favor and stop here
for an authentic Baja experience. No frills, basic,
great stuff. Ask what seafood is fresh that day;
they often have crab, shrimp and fish. |
