Detour
at the San Ysidro / Tijuana border crossing. There
is a detour in place at the San Ysidro / Tijuana border
crossing. For any crossing in the near future,
here are video clips in both Windows Media and Quicktime
format that show the detour. I happened to be
taking video of the crossing that day, and recorded
it.
Where previously
you merged to the right and exited, there are now yellow
cement barriers in place. The route that was in
place on July 3rd, 2008 has you merging left after that,
and follwing the curve to the left to continue on to
the toll road.
Watch
for signs on the right, just after the border crossing.
As you get closer the the turnoff itself, look
for small, orange, rectangular signs with black lettering
that have arrows pointing to the left and to the turn/curve
you need to take. The video shows my vehicle taking
that exit:

An effort by individuals in Bahia de los Angeles to:
Keep the Flying Samaritans Coming to Bahia..., Submitted by Mr. Ron Dunn:
"In order for the Sam's to continue their monthly clinic weekends to
Bahia, they must have a secure place for their pharmacy & for
storage of their equipment. About 15 years ago, the Delegado (Mayor)
at the time gave them permission to use a room in the Delegacion
building. Last February the Sam's were informed that it would no
longer be available, that room is now needed for use by our new police
department, and that they would need to be out in the next couple of
months.
-- New Building!--
We have received permission to construct a new Pharmacy building on
the Clinic property at the North-East corner of the Clinic building.
The area has been staked out and approved; we hope to have the
foundation started next week.
-- Help --
Now we need your help with donations of dollars, pesos, materials,
labor, etc. If you can help us get this going, we can KEEP THE SAM'S
coming."
