For travel to Bahia de los Angeles, an FMT (Tourist Visa) is required

It is required that tourist Visas/FMT's must be processed at a  Border Crossing (Ex.: Tijuana, Tecate, Mexicali); do NOT go to the Ensenada Migracion office to get one.  An extra fee will be charged for having it processed there since by their regulations, it should have been done at the border crossing where you entered.

Obtaining a Visa at the San Ysidro Border Crossing: Open 24hrs.

At San Ysidro, get in the far right hand lane; the "Declaration" lane that leads to the secondary inspection area.  Tell the officers you are there to get a Visa; there is ample parking in the secondary inspection area.  There will be a row of offices on your right.  At the end of the row,  back towards the border, you'll find the INM office. That will be your first stop.  Take your documents with you and a pen.  After your paperwork is filled out, exit the INM office and walk down to the bank "booth" and pay your fee.  Walk back to the INM office to have it stamped and you are finished.
