Looking for a place to stay in Ensenada that won't cost you an arm and a leg?  Try "Motel Colon".  You can find it across from the San Nicolas Hotel, and within walking distance of the popular shopping areas near the water in Ensenada.  The rooms are very basic, nothing fancy but quite adequate. Rates start at $27 USD.  What's especially nice is that the rooms are laid out around a courtyard area and you can park in front of your room.  They also have a night attendant keeping an eye on things through the night.  Some rooms have small refrigerators and kitchen areas.  TV is available in all the rooms with even some local San Diego stations you can watch.  The motel is also adjacent to Bronco's Steakhouse. Mosey on over their bar and enjoy some refreshments and snacks.  I especially enjoy their "Higado en Escabeche"...marinated, pickled liver.  It's good stuff!
