There are 16 islands in the bay and each has it's own unique beauty. Visiting the islands now requires a permit which can be acquired in town at the Island Visitor's Office to view that page, click here.

These desert islands are a stark contrast to the blue waters of the Sea of Cortez.  Snorkeling is great around the rocky shorelines.

Seal lion colonies can be found at two relatively close locations, one being near Isla Coronado or "Smith Island", and the other to the South near Punta Animas.
