Re: 'Biosphere Reserve in Bahia de los Angeles":  You may have heard reports being circulated that sportfishing is no longer allowed in Bahia de los Angeles with it being named as a Biosphere Reserve last June.  These reports are FALSE.  Sportfishing continues here at the bay and the guidelines follow those outlined in the Mexican Sportfishing Regulations (see link above for download).  Boat permits are NO LONGER required, but fishing permits ARE required. They can be purchased locally in Bahia at either Guillermo's Hotel/Restaurant/Sportfishing or at the Pemex station on the East side the road just North of the Sail Monument.  Contact the Islas del Golfo office in Bahia for inquiries or other details: 01-200-124-91-06 or from outside Mexico 011-52-200-12491-06

The following tackle suggestions are meant to give a basic overview of some of the items that are commonly used in this area.  There are plenty more, including Lucky Joes/Bait Rigs, rubber scampi lures, trolling feathers, Krocodile lures, etc.  Recommended lb. test  is 30lb. or better.  If you have any suggestions or favorites, feel free to send them in!
