Weather:  October can be one of the nicest times of the year.  The days are nice and warm, but the nights are cool for comfortable sleeping, and the water is still warm enough to enjoy a nice swim in.  Usually a great time of year.

Winds:  With the "chubascos" of summer over with and with the North Winds of winter not yet settled in, the wind conditions are usually modertate in October. By November things start to change with the temperatures dropping off considerably and the West and North Winds starting to make their appearances.

Suggested Items for Fall Camping:  shade; jackets or sweatshirts; firewood for evening campfires; warm blankets.
